I posted this on Fb on 12/2/09 but I think I wrote a long time before that on MySpace,,,uhm, so long ago!!!

It's days like these that I want to slip under covers

Hey Remember it's almost my birthday,,,,,,,

Lol, I am shameless when it comes to my birthday. Usually I eat like crazy and take the day off of work and generally expect everyone to do what I say..............sorta.

Anyways, here is an early birthday gift post:

Remember way back last month when I posted about the most epic wallet from Modcloth?
Well, a few days ago Ry told me my bday gift would be arriving in the mail at my parents house (where we have all our packages delivered because the UPS/FedEx guy around there is cool and just leaves everything on the front porch which is well shaded and pretty safe (although my sister's high school boyfriend had his bike stone right off the porch so maybe we need to rethink this package situation....))

A few days after that I was at my parents' house and saw a box, a box from Modcloth.com!!!! My heart first rose and then fell a little bit. I was pretty sure I had posted some clothing items and accessories from Modcloth on my blog and I knew that was where Ry had gotten the idea from. I was so scared he had bought me something to wear that I would really, really, really, really love but could in no way fit into (I have become an eating machine, mostly). I would feel so bad and ashamed. I tried not to worry about and determined to be happy with it and then work hard to eventually wear it.

And then! came the day when I could open the box (I never have opened a gift from Ryan on my actual birthday or Christmas or anything I think, he always gets my gifts early and I always open them early, that's how we do) and ta da!!!1

Thank you so much, babe!!! This is one of the most thoughtful gifts he has ever given me. Of course everything he gives me is wonderful but when you mention something in passing and not as a request at all and he actually goes back to that or remembers it and buys it for you!! That is priceless:)

A Class I would really like to take.....

Tonight after picking up my "professional portfolio" project for my child development class, I will be officially, 100% done with Spring semester 2013!!!

Major congrats to all of you who are graduating from high school or college for the first time or grad school!!! Super epic time of year, finally all the pressure melts away and you can have fun! (hopefully)

Taking classes for "fun" or more accurately to dodge student loan payments for a bit is not as tough as normal school is. I actually do enjoy it but having homework and a test hanging over my head every week for one of my classes was a bit trying. I'm glad it is over!....

until summer and/or fall semester, maybe? still not sure if I should just buckle down and start getting used to ramen and no wine and start making those payments or find some way to hustle some cash up for my books and take more classes....we will see:)

Here is a class/workshop I would so love to take if I was in New York. It has so many things I love: New York, medicine (I used to love reading books about diseases and outbreaks, etc when I was younger and still do from time to time), New York ;), it's from Best Made Co, (a place I have been crushing and gushing over lately) and you get to get bloody gruesome!!!

Now I know this isn't showing anything gruesome but check out the info for this on their site and you will see the participants learning field medicine, specifically "wound closure"!!! on pig legs! Totally cool and science-y and awesome if you ask me! 

Best Made Co. Please open a shop in Fresno and do this field medicine thing and I promise I won't be squemish and I will not shriek and it will be so much fun. The end.

I'm not the best pet parent. When I get home from work I'm most likely to take off my shoes and collapse on the couch and watch tv till it's time to crawl into bed, mostly. But Hershey does not put up with this, mostly.

She needs walks and fun and games and treats, and dinner! lol

Luckily, Ry has been great at leading us to go for a walk almost every night:)
